If you have to dial 1 before the number, then you’re allowed to have 1 more” - Anonymous per Christian O. when undisclosed female was about to call undisclosed boyfriend in the states [If you dont get this, you're dense. And I dont agree with it btw, just tis funny.]

Best softserve: Ice cream truck right outside the ROM. Divine. Walking south on University just before hitting Queens Park, the most incredible spring smell of flowers. Lovely walk. Friday, May 27th.

On that note found out about Mark’s blog, old friend of mine: http://www.lapasa.net/blog/

Dad recently bought canoe from somewhere near Algonquin Provincial Park. Tobes suggested Mountain Equipment Co-op for supplies if interested. Summer is gonna be intense. eeeeeeeee

Last long weekend we’d planned to go Sandbanks near Bellville. Didnt work out though coz it started raining so when to Presqu’ille instead. Quite nice. Had our own volleyball net and the beach was short but water clear and relatively warm. These are just some of Ontario’s Provincial parks for those interested.

Mark suggested a really nice hotel in Atlantic City for those interested. The Flagship Resort. About a 20 min walk from the main area. Around cdn$125 for a room with 2 beds and a kitchenette. Sort of like a timeshare and apparently has an incredible view of the ocean.

Coocnut Gellato at La Paloma rocks.

Saw Bunty aur Babli. uhh… Loud, fairly cheerful, inane entertainment. Not stellar but ok.

“Star Wars: Episode III.”

…The general opinion of “Revenge of the Sith” seems to be that it marks a distinct improvement on the last two episodes, “The Phantom Menace” and “Attack of the Clones.” True, but only in the same way that dying from natural causes is preferable to crucifixion…. read more

Just an amusing review. Anyone got plans to go see it sometime soon?

Don’t point that gun at him, he’s an unpaid intern.

- Steve Zissou The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

All the funny parts are in the trailer. I really liked the Belafonte (the ship). The dolphins were cute as were the sea horses. Anjelica Huston, Willem Dafoe and Jeff Goldblum: fun to watch. Otherwise… was a little too slow for my taste and although the whole haphazard filming can be pretty snazzy, it can get boring occasionally.

Just started I (heart) Huckabees. First ten minutes were interesting so am figuring the rest of the movie should follow suit.

The Blind Assasin

All she has left is the picture. Also the story of it. The picture is of happiness, the story not. Happiness is a garden walled with glass: there’s no way in or out. In Paradise there are no stories, because there are no journeys. It’s loss and regret and misery and yearning that drive the story forward, along it’s twisted road.

The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood.

This one is a little difficult to comment on. I lost the book when I was halfway through it and restarted it after I got back from Pk a good two months after leaving off. hmm.. I think … it got too long. Halfway through it lost its pull. Was still a good read though, atleast halways through. Maybe Im just being unfair by comparing this with other works of Atwood. Oryx and Crake was phenomenal. But then I guess I’ve never really been into world war movies or books.
